We are happy to announce you the start of a new project called

"Europe! - A Generation Ahead".

The aim of this project is to contribute to foster the debate on the Future of Europe and to involve in it as many European citizens as possible, especially young people.

The European Convention on the Future of Europe, whose mandate is to prepare our future European Constitution, is still in the working phase.

As it now begins to produce some first results, it is for JEF the best time to involve the citizens of Europe into this debate. That's why JEF-Europe proposes today a common action framework to its sections all over Europe.

This common action framework is based on several activities, linked with each other:

- the organisation of local, regional and national debates and activities on the Future of Europe

- 2 large scale events, the first one took place in Brussels from Nov. 29th to Dec. 1st 2002, gathering 150 international participants and 100 locals
more, the second one took place in Athens from April 11th to April 13th.

- networking activities, composed of an exhibition, to be presented all over Europe, newsletters and an extensive website - which should present the results of the above mentionned activities.
