Career:
Magistrate since 1967, has spent much of her career at the Milan Court as a civil judge and criminal judge. From 1986 to 1990 was elected member of the Supreme Council of the Magistrature, the first woman to hold this office.
Twice President of the National Magistrates' Association (1994-1995 and 1997-1998). Since January 1999, President of the Lelio and Lisli Basso Foundation for the study of contemporary society.
