| Hannes FARNLEITNER Born on April the 5th, 1939.
Former Minister of Economic Affairs
1961 graduated in Law from the University of Vienna and started immediately to work for the public administration of Lower Austria.
1964 started to work for the at the chamber of trade as well as for the department of economic policy at the federal Chamber of Commerce.
From 1978 till 1982 chairman of the legal and trade policy department at the Austrian Chamber of Commerce. From 1982 until 1995 he was chairman of the department for economic policy.
From April 1992 till June 1996 Deputy Secretary General of the Austrian chamber of commerce.
Until 1996 member of the European Economic and Social Committee and member of its Presidium.
From June 1996 till February 2000 was Austrian Minister of Economic Affairs
