Biography
Born: in Vilnius on 30 November, 1961.
Education:
Graduated from Vilnius University, the Department of Economy of Industry.
Employment:
Worked at the Lithuanian Institute of Economics of Agriculture.
Studied international relations at London University.
Deputy Director of the Institute of International Relations and Political Sciences of Vilnius University, as a secretary for scientific affairs.
Delivers lectures on international affairs, the situation in Russia and other countries of the CIS. Writes commentaries on the issues of foreign policy to TV programme "Panorama", daily "Lietuvos rytas", "Laisvoji Europa" radio .
Worked in London on a diplomatic mission till 1996.
Political Career:
In 1988 was one of the founders of the Lithuanian Reform Movement Sąjūdis Group, later - a member of the Sąjūdis Council and the Sąjūdis Seimas.
Member of the Seimas from 1996.
