Commission wants to have an elected president

In a policy debate about the Communication on EU institutional reform, the Commission has called for the Commission president to be chosen by both the European Parliament and the Council.

Brief news:
On 30 October, the Commission held a policy debate to prepare its Communication on the EU's institutional architecture, which is due to be adopted on 18 November as the Commission's contribution to the Convention debate on the future of Europe.
