April 04, 2003 Convention opens "exit door" Danish newspaper Berlingske Tidende reports that the Convention draft includes an article giving member states the right to leave the European Union. Danish government representative Henning Christophersen says it is sensible to formalise in such a way what has always been an implicit policy.
