May 09, 2003 Duisenberg unhappy with Convention draft The European Central Bank, ECB, is not happy with the draft Constitution currently being drawn up in Valéry Giscard d´Estaing´s European Convention.
The ECB president, Wim Duisenberg said today, Thursday, (8 May) in a press conference following the monthly meeting of the governing Council in Frankfurt, that the text presented on the ECB ought to be "shortened and made more precise in the wording".
