Small countries oppose Constitution timetable

The first signs of how difficult further debate on the freshly drafted EU Constitution will be, emerged yesterday (July 21) after EU foreign ministers discussed how to proceed with fine-tuning the treaty blueprint.

Small countries mounted strong opposition to the Italian Presidency's plans to wrap up the intergovernmental conference (IGC) on the Constitution by the end of this year.
