MEPs say no to opening Pandora s box


The European Parliament’s Committee for Constitutional Affairs on Monday (25 August) urged the heads of states not to make substantial changes to the EU constitution before they approve it.

At the first sitting after the summer holidays, the committee also offered its assessment of the outcome of the Convention's work.

The vast majority of MEPs agreed to support what the Convention had achieved ahead of an Intergovernmental conference, set to start in October.
