August 26, 2003 Finland: no plans for constitution referendum
The Finnish Premier Matti Vanhanen today (Tuesday 26 August) said that he does not expect his government to hold a referendum on the new EU constitution.
"We do not have any plans to arrange a referendum", he told journalists in Brussels during his first official visit to Brussels since he took over the post of prime minister in June this year.
