August 26, 2003 Denmark to hold referendum on EU Constitution next year In short:
Denmark will put the new EU Constitution to a popular vote in 2004, Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen has announced.
Brief news:
Mr Fogh Rasmussen said in a television interview on 5 August that his government will submit the results of the EU Intergovernmental Conference, starting in October and due to end in December 2003, to a popular vote next year.
