Finns want referendum or veto on Constitution


A majority of Finns want a referendum on the EU Constitutional Treaty, according to a poll made by the European Parliament's Information Office in Helsinki and MTV3.

55 percent of the 1000 Finns, asked by Finnish Gallup on behalf of the European Parliament's Information Office and MTV3, want a referendum on the coming EU Constitutional Treaty, while 41 percent did not think it would be necessary.
